One woman. One top. One workweek. Bianca deBardelaben shows The Urbaness how one office-wear staple, the classic silk button-up, can take any nine-to-fiver from Monday morning to Friday happy hour. For all the weekdays we’ve stood bleary-eyed at our closets wondering what to wear, Bianca now has our answer. Check back all week long for the rest of her workweek looks.

Suni Friday: Friday Night Lights

Bianca says: I always dress for both work and play on Fridays, just in case my boyfriend or the girls want to hit the town afterward. The sartorial look is so in, and if you put the right pieces together, you'll be just as cute as the girls in their mini dresses. A vintage bolo tie puts you ahead of the trend and is so much more fun than an ordinary statement necklace. Boost your shoulder value by bringing back Wednesday’s cardigan, perfect for cold offices and colder restaurants. Friday is also the best time to wear your favorites. Mine? Anything and everything oxblood. These Urban Outfitters high-waist trousers are silky, breathable, and right on trend. Cinch with a belt, and wear some statement shoes to make yourself smile. But why wouldn't you be smiling today, it's the weekend!

Suni Thursday: Field Trip

Bianca says: Sure it's not Friday but why don't we have lunch outside today? Before the weather becomes unforgivable. Breathe a little; the week is almost through. No need to over-layer, let’s just put on a lightweight scarf and those American Apparel shorts we had on earlier this week. Roll them up a bit for a little more breathing room. But not too high, ladies, fingertip length! Some cute vintage slip-ons make this day more comfortable than ever, but our leather belt pulls it all together and makes us more business than casual.

Suni Wednesday: Back to Classics

We had fun on Tuesday, but nothing gets you over hump day like putting yourself in the work mindset. Focus on those projects and get them done; the week is nearly through! Pair your classic blouse with a vintage ‘70s tie, Ann Taylor cardigan, and high-waisted trousers from American Apparel. A belt from H&M pulls it all together without looking too bulky. Bring back your briefcase and loafers to complete the look. How can you go wrong in such a monochrome look? Set it off with a burgundy lip!

Beige cardigan

Suni Tuesday: Sweater Weather

Note: Conservative workplace? Keep moving! This outfit’s for the casual and the creative office only. Like what you see, but can’t pull it off while on the clock? Save it for Saturday morning.

Bianca says: “Is it me or are offices almost always cold? Cheer up your coworkers by topping your classic blouse with a kooky sweater. Might I suggest a Kenzo tiger sweater, an Opening Ceremony cat sweater, or even one thrifted like my owl sweater from the ‘70s? This sweater is breathable and light in the afternoon sun, and paired with these high-waisted linen shorts I know I'll be comfortable in any temperature. Bonus points for the matching faux suede loafers in mustard.”

Monday: We Mean Business

Bianca says: “I know what they say, ‘just another manic Monday,” but I feel like Monday is the best day to put on your shiny suit. No need to break the bank either. The blazer is thrifted to complement the French Connection trousers I already had, and it keeps the look from being too matchy-matchy. A vintage Louis Vuitton bag that used to belong to my mother when she joined the workforce in the ‘80s really sets this look off. Complete it with some Forever21 loafers, and you’re ready for that morning meeting.”
