One woman. One top. One workweek. Bianca deBardelaben shows The Urbaness how one office-wear staple, the classic silk button-up, can take any nine-to-fiver from Monday morning to Friday happy hour. For all the weekdays we’ve stood bleary-eyed at our closets wondering what to wear, Bianca now has our answer. Check back all week long for the rest of her workweek looks.

Suni Wednesday: Back to Classics

We had fun on Tuesday, but nothing gets you over hump day like putting yourself in the work mindset. Focus on those projects and get them done; the week is nearly through! Pair your classic blouse with a vintage ‘70s tie, Ann Taylor cardigan, and high-waisted trousers from American Apparel. A belt from H&M pulls it all together without looking too bulky. Bring back your briefcase and loafers to complete the look. How can you go wrong in such a monochrome look? Set it off with a burgundy lip!

Suni Tuesday: Sweater Weather

Note: Conservative workplace? Keep moving! This outfit’s for the casual and the creative office only. Like what you see, but can’t pull it off while on the clock? Save it for Saturday morning.

Bianca says: “Is it me or are offices almost always cold? Cheer up your coworkers by topping your classic blouse with a kooky sweater. Might I suggest a Kenzo tiger sweater, an Opening Ceremony cat sweater, or even one thrifted like my owl sweater from the ‘70s? This sweater is breathable and light in the afternoon sun, and paired with these high-waisted linen shorts I know I'll be comfortable in any temperature. Bonus points for the matching faux suede loafers in mustard.”

Monday: We Mean Business

Bianca says: “I know what they say, ‘just another manic Monday,” but I feel like Monday is the best day to put on your shiny suit. No need to break the bank either. The blazer is thrifted to complement the French Connection trousers I already had, and it keeps the look from being too matchy-matchy. A vintage Louis Vuitton bag that used to belong to my mother when she joined the workforce in the ‘80s really sets this look off. Complete it with some Forever21 loafers, and you’re ready for that morning meeting.”
