We stormed the kitchen of Chicago food blogger Kit Graham, to watch her chop, sauté, and bake her way through four delicious meals. The end result? A counter teeming with the afternoon’s bounty, not to mention four covetable recipes worthy of our favorite phrase, easy gourmet.

While Kit cooked we looked on, eager to offer our services as official taste-testers for the day. Wielding quite the impressive kitchen prowess, Kit churned out four dishes sure to spark delight in cooks and diners alike. In one word, these meals are simple. 2 pears
½ cup white wine
2 T butter
Fresh lasagna sheets
¾ cup pecorino
½ cup ricotta
½ cup mascarpone
¼ cup milk
¼ cup toasted walnuts

PEAR COBBLER
Make this one vegan with a simple switch!

¾ cup flour
¾ cup brown sugar
½ cup old-fashion oats
½ tsp ground cinnamon
6 T unsalted butter (or Earth Balance for a Vegan option)
1/2 cup walnuts (optional)
4 cups pears
3 T sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
