Style blogger, Jena Gambaccini doesn’t take getting dressed too seriously. Her looks are playful, unconventional, and all seem to effortlessly embody her personal style motto: Why not have fun with it? In a word, she’s cool. In several words, she’s one of Chicago’s top fashion bloggers, upping the city’s style status with daily updates to ChiCityFashion.com
“I like to say dressing down is the new dressing up,” Jena says of the holiday look she shared with The Urbaness. “Anyone can wear a sequin party dress, but it’s fun to try and be more creative.” Here, Jena surprises with a Markus Lupfer lip sweater, the graphic composed almost entirely of cherry red sequins. To tone down the quirkiness and festivity in her sweater, Jena rounds out her look with leather pants and sharp, black boots. “It’s not your traditional holiday look, but incorporating red and sequins is holiday enough for me,” she says.
Looking to make a similar style statement, but want to take it up a notch? Jena suggests pairing this sweater with a pointed-toe pump and swapping out the pants for a leather skirt. “You can’t go wrong with leather,” she says. “And you can always go faux, which is animal friendly and much cheaper.”
